Anzac Day Discussion

With ANZAC day coming up we have been working through a range of activities during independent reading. 



Read the questions below and write a positive and thoughtful comment outlining your opinion. You must explain why you hold that opinion.

  1. Anzac day is still relevant because it marks a significance in New Zealand's History.
    Anzac day means to me that you should remember the soldiers that risked their lives for their country and the nurses,gunners and others that went along with them not knowing what it was going to be like.

  2. Anzac day is important to my because it is a day of remembrance for those who died.
    Anzac day is still relevant to me because it represents the soldiers that risked there lives for our country.

  3. Is ANZAC day still relevant?

    Yes,I think that it is still relevant.
    Men died to fight for what they thought was right
    and I think that is a pretty important and heroic thing to do.
    If you died fighting for what was right would you want someone to commemorate your loss?

    What does ANZAC day mean to you?

    ANZAC day means a lot to me.
    I think that it is one of the most important days in the year
    you may not get presents or lollies but you can appreciate peoples lives and
    what the have done for New Zealand and Australia.
